Questions

Does a water eject tone really work?

A low tone makes the speaker move a lot, and that helps push droplets out through the holes. It works best on fresh splashes with the speaker facing down. It can't fix a speaker that is damaged; if the sound stays muffled after the phone has dried, have it checked.

Why 165 Hz?

It's low enough to move the speaker a lot and high enough for a small phone speaker to play loudly. Dripout also sweeps 100–300 Hz and pulses at 165 Hz. With Custom tone you can try any frequency from 20 to 1,000 Hz.

Will it hurt my speaker?

The tones stay in a range phone speakers are built to play and never clip. Start at a comfortable volume if you like, then turn it up.

How is it free?

An occasional full-screen ad on the way back from a finished cleaning, never during one, and optional short videos that unlock Custom tone and Bass pulse for the day. There's nothing to buy.
